Out with the Boys

Today was a good day.  I got back into a semi-exercise routine today with my Pilates Fat-Burning Workout, and the boys even joined in during their favorite parts.  I wanted to up my game and go for a walk, so I took the boys to the Boardwalk in Summerside for a fun-filled adventure.

Believe it or not, they all enjoyed themselves.  It’s not like they aren’t used to walking with me.  We’ve been walking down to our neighborhood park for the past month or so.  I was even brave enough to bring Elijah’s bike with us.  We all had fun – took in the scenery, the water was beautiful with the sun bouncing off the top.  We didn’t get to see the boats too well because there was construction taking place on part of the boardwalk.  When all was said and done, we walked/biked for about 4 miles round-trip.

You would think that after such a long trek, the boys would be tired, right?  Nope, not my boys.  I do have to say that when we got home, they wolfed down their dinner.  I could barley get them to touch it yesterday.  Note to self – take them on long walks right before dinner – :o)  After their baths, story time, calling to tell their Dad goodnight and prayers, instead of crashing into their beds, they were running around the living room.  Goodness gracious, I’ve got some energetic boys.

Eventually, Elijah was the first to crash (as usual), followed by Isaac and Justus brought up the rear.  He’s my night owl/Klingon.  I think he stays up deliberately just to have some alone time with me.  That’s alright, though.  He;s a great cuddle buddy :o)

So now, they are all sound asleep in their beds, and I am soon to follow suit.  I’ve been up since 5am and I have had a FULL day.  Life with my boys is always an adventure.  I never know where they will take me each day.

Until next time, be well.
